I am not a hi-tech person at all but every time I go to the Gav-Yam Advanced Technologies Park in Be’er Sheva, I am truly inspired. Just from the parking lot I get views of the lovely residential neighborhood of Ramot, the impressive Negev Brigade Memorial, and the recently completed bridge connecting the park to the train station and Ben Gurion University. I made Aliyah in 2008 after my "year in Israel." I knew it was now or never--I was 19 years old, just at the right age to make adult decisions without the adult responsibilities. Nefesh B'Nefesh made my Aliyah process very smooth and I soon joined the Hesder program of my Yeshiva, and enlisted in the Paratroopers Brigade.
Two weeks before my flight I panicked, but I wouldn’t dare tell anyone that I had thoughts of backing out. Somehow I got over the fear, or was too chicken to admit to my friends and family that I was thinking of staying, and I got on the plane to Israel.
