Booking your Aliyah flight marks an exciting and momentous milestone in your Aliyah journey, and we are delighted to assist you in making the necessary arrangements. Once you have received approval for your Aliyah flight benefit, the Nefesh B’Nefesh Flights Department will send you an email invitation to book your flight. Simply choose your departure hub from the list below, click on the dropdown menu, and note your preferred date from the posted flight schedule and reply to the invitation with your preference. Your journey is about to take flight, and we can’t wait to welcome you home!
Please note: If you have not received an invitation to book your flight, your application may be missing required components. Please consult with your Nefesh B’Nefesh Aliyah advisor for assistance. To ensure timely processing, request your Aliyah flight at least three weeks in advance and pay the ticket processing fee, along with any outstanding Aliyah application fees.

Types of Flights
Group Flight
- Departure Cities: New York, Newark, Los Angeles.
- 40- 60 Olim ( commercial EL AL flight).
- Nefesh B’Nefesh staff personally greet Olim at the U.S. airport and provide assistance throughout the departure flight until they reach their initial destination in Israel.
- Aliyah processing begins prior to flight check-in in the US.
- Upon arrival at Ben Gurion airport, additional Nefesh B’Nefesh staff welcome and offer guidance and support throughout the Aliyah process.
- NBN staff collaborates with Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority to facilitate the issuance of Teudat Zehut (Israel ID card), extending this service to Ktinim Chozrim, and former and current A-1 Israeli visa holders.
Cluster Flight
- Departure Cities: New York, Newark, Miami, Los Angeles.
- 5-40 Olim on the flight (commercial EL AL flight).
- Nefesh B’Nefesh staff are not present at departure or arrival of the flight.
- Olim are met at the Ben Gurion arrival gate by a representative from the Population and Immigration Authority.
Flexible Flight
- Departure Cities: New York, Newark, Los Angeles, Miami, Boston, Toronto.
Flexible Flight requests are made as needed when there is no flight available on our schedule during the preferred time you would like to fly.
Please note:
- Flight reservations are subject to availability at the time of booking, requiring a three-week lead time.
- If a Cluster or Group flight is scheduled from your desired departure hub within one week before or after your preferred flight date, you are required to take the available flight on our schedule.
- EWR and JFK are interchangeable. For example, if a flight departs from EWR ( Newark, NJ), but you reside closer to JFK (New York NY) you must opt for the EWR departure if a flight is available during your preferred week of travel.
- Flights from Toronto and Montreal will be booked on Air Canada.
Charter Flight
- Departs from JFK Airport in New York.
- We offer one Charter a year during the month of August.
- Nefesh B’Nefesh staff personally greet Olim at the U.S. airport and provide assistance throughout the departure flight until they reach their initial destination in Israel.
- Aliyah processing begins prior to flight check-in in the US and is completed during the flight.
- Depending on health and safety guidelines, a farewell ceremony will take place prior to boarding.
- Depending on health and safety guidelines, a welcome ceremony and celebration will take place upon arrival at Ben Gurion.
- Teudat Zehut ( Israel ID card) issuance is facilitated by NBN staff in collaboration with Israel’s population and immigration authority. Including Ktinim Chozrim and Former and current A-1 Israeli visa holders.
Teudat Zehut
Upon arrival, a Temporary Teudat Zehut (Israeli ID Card) will be issued, including a Sefach (addendum) with your Israel address and immediate family’s ID numbers. This temporary ID is valid for three months and must be replaced with a biometric Teudat Zehut, available at any Misrad Hapnim by appointment, free of charge.
Please note: Ktinim Chozrim and Former and current A-1 Israeli visa holders will only receive a Teudat Zehut at the airport on a Nefesh B’Nefesh Group and Charter flight.
Luggage
- Your reservation includes 2 bags, each weighing up to 50lbs and measuring 62” in height, length, and width, in addition to a personal item and carry-on bag.
- Additional luggage, oversized, or overweight fees are the sole responsibility of the Oleh.
- In addition to the 2 pieces of luggage included in the Aliyah benefit, Olim are entitled to bring up to 3 additional bags per passenger. Olim can pre-purchase a 3rd suitcase for $150 up to two weeks before their flight. Otherwise, the 3rd, 4th, and 5th suitcases cost $200 each and can be purchased at check-in. Each passenger is limited to a maximum of five 5 suitcases.
- The airline-generated ticket you will receive from EL AL has generic flight information indicating that 1 piece of luggage is allowed. Do not be concerned as your Aliyah benefit of the 2nd piece of luggage is confirmed by Nefesh B’Nefesh with the airline.

Depending on the time of year in which you make Aliyah, not all of the options noted above may be available. If you cancel your reservation or change your flight you may incur fees.
