Booking Your Aliyah Flight

Booking your Aliyah flight is an exciting and momentous milestone in your Aliyah journey, and we are delighted to assist you in making the necessary arrangements. Once you receive approval for your Aliyah flight benefit, the Nefesh B’Nefesh Flights Department will send you an email invitation to book your flight. Simply reply to the invitation with your preferred departure date and hub, and our team will work with you to coordinate your flight. Your journey is about to take flight, and we can’t wait to welcome you home!

Please note: If you have not received an invitation to book your flight, your application may be missing required components. Please consult with your Nefesh B’Nefesh Aliyah advisor for assistance. To ensure timely processing, request your Aliyah flight at least three weeks in advance and pay the ticket processing fee, along with any outstanding Aliyah application fees.

Cluster Flight

Flexible Flight

  • Departure Cities: New York, Newark, Miami, Los Angeles.
  • 5-40 Olim on the flight (commercial EL AL flight).
  • Olim are greeted by Nefesh B’Nefesh staff or volunteers upon arrival at Ben Gurion.
  • During the months of July and August, Nefesh B’Nefesh staff will be present at select departures from Newark and JFK to provide a celebratory send-off for Olim (throughout  the rest of the year Nefesh B’nefesh staff is not present at departures).
  • Departure Cities: New York, Newark, Los Angeles, Miami, Boston, Toronto, Fort Lauderdale.
  • Flexible Flight requests are made as needed when there is no flight available on our schedule within 7 days during the preferred time you would like to fly.

Please note:
Flight reservations are subject to availability at the time of booking, requiring a three-week lead time.

  • If a Cluster flight is scheduled from your desired departure hub within 10 days before or after your preferred flight date, you are required to take the available flight on our schedule.
  • Miami and Fort Lauderdale are interchangeable, and the same applies to EWR and JFK. For example, if a flight departs from EWR ( Newark, NJ), but you reside closer to JFK (New York, NY) you must opt for the EWR departure if a flight is available during your preferred week of travel.
  • Flights from Toronto and Montreal will be booked on Air Canada once Air Canada resumes flights.

Your Aliyah Flight: What to Expect

Your Aliyah flight benefits include:

      • 2 checked bags (up to 50 lbs. each and measuring no more than 62” in height, length, and width)
      • Carry-on bag plus a personal item
      • Option to bring up to 3 additional suitcases per passenger

Additional Bags – Pricing
Pre-purchased online through EL AL’s Manage My Booking webpage (recommended) at least 4 hours before departure:

      • 3rd bag: $100
      • 4th & 5th bags: $185 each

At the airport:

      • $200 per additional bag at check-in

Important Notes:

    • Your airline ticket may show only 1 bag. Don’t worry, your second bag is confirmed through NBN
    • Maximum of 5 suitcases per passenger
    • Additional luggage, oversized, or overweight fees are the sole responsibility of the Oleh

  • Once you submit your flight preferences and receive the necessary approvals and documentation, we will assist you with booking your flight
  • While we will do our best to accommodate your first flight preference, we cannot guarantee availability
  • Nefesh B’Nefesh reserves the right to modify or withdraw flight options at any time
  • If changes occur, NBN will assist in arranging suitable alternatives
  • Flight availability may vary depending on the time of year
  • Changes or cancellations to your reservation may result in additional fees
