DAY ONE

8:00 p.m. – After Shabbat, I went out to the mall with my roommate to buy a couple of last minute additions to my Purim costume. I own almost everything I need for this costume (#lazy) but I spent ₪3.99 on a bow from Beauty Care and a 1+1 packet of tights from H&M for a total of ₪19.90. I wasn’t planning on buying anything else, but I happened upon a really easy breezy dress for the summer that I couldn’t turn down for ₪139.99. Dinner was leftovers from Shabbat (pros of hosting!).

DAY TWO

7:30 a.m. – Wake up, get dressed, daven, walk to work.

8:30 a.m. – Arrive at work, breakfast is coffee provided by work (and repeated again at 10:30 a.m.).

12:00 p.m. – Work gives us ₪18 to buy lunch at the cafeteria – this covers a dairy salad. Anything more than this, we pay out of our own pocket. Today I just got the salad.

6:00 p.m. – I walked to a post-wedding party for my old coworker which we covered by paying ₪88 each.

DAY THREE

7:30 a.m. – Same morning routine – wake up, get dressed, daven, walk to work.

8:30 a.m. – Arrive at work, coffee provided by work (and repeated again at 10.30 a.m.).

12:00 p.m. – The salads today weren’t at their best so I bought a Toblerone as well.

DAY FOUR

8:30 a.m. – Arrive at work, coffee

12:00 p.m. – Work Purim party – lunch provided

6:00 p.m. – Dinner – Last opportunity for Shabbat leftovers. I was supposed to go to Zumba but it was canceled so instead I spent the next couple of hours doing the washing, cleaning my room etc. (Zumba is paid for in monthly installments of ₪265 to Mati Gym in Hadar Mall – I go to two-three classes a week).

10 p.m. – I sit with my roommates to do an online grocery shop for the Purim party we are throwing on Thursday night. We are dividing the cost between the three of us.

DAY FIVE

7:30 a.m. – Wake up, get dressed, daven, walk to work.

8:30 a.m. – Arrive at work, sadly no coffee as it is the Fast of Esther.

12:00 p.m. – Break my fast (don’t judge me) and get a paid-for salad from work.

5:30 p.m. – Go grocery shopping for Shabbat and Mishloach Manot.

6:20 p.m. – Zumba

7:30 p.m. – Hang out with the boyfriend for a couple of hours and walk home.

DAY SIX

8:00 a.m. – Wake up, get dressed, daven, speak to my family, start cleaning and prepping for the party.

1:00 p.m. – Go out to lunch with friends – Ben Ami – and get a toast sandwich and orange juice (highly recommend).

9 p.m.–2 a.m. – Party party!!

DAY SEVEN

8.30 a.m. – Megillah reading at shul.

10:00 a.m. – Head to Aroma with a couple of friends to get coffee and sit on the train tracks in the sun to recover (₪15). I also buy a potted plant for Tzedaka and give them ₪20.
