The Diary

Day One

8:30 am – Hopped on a bus to work and paid with my Rav Kav. I have a monthly pass that work covers.

10:30 am –  I donate 48 (£10) to my friends Movember campaign.
₪48

12:30 pm – Found out that the computer company that we work with wants to treat the company to lunch, Tommy’s Jerusalem (burger joint). Was delicious.

6:00 pm – Finished work and bussed to rehearsal (I’m in a community theatre production).

11:00 pm –  Back in my apartment I schmooze with my roommates and heat up leftover dinner from the night before (chicken and rice).

Daily Total: 48

DAY TWO

9:30 am – I get a haircut at my barber down the street. He was sick last Friday and wasn’t available  this Friday, so I went during morning work hours, as I have a family wedding coming up. I paid, but he didn’t have change, so I’ll tip him extra next time.

₪50

11:00 am – Back at work, the bus took 45 minutes…

12:00 pm – I purchased tickets to the new Fantastic Beasts movie in 3D (₪5 more for the 3D glasses). We are going out for my a work friend’s birthday. The movie is Monday night, woohoo!

6:00 pm – Took a bus to my parents house.

DAY FOUR

8:00 pm – I take my parents car to go on a date, drove about half an hour to pick her up, and from there we went to a bar for dinner and drinks (135). Afterwards, I drove her back to Jerusalem, and filled up the car with some gas for my folks (90).

DAY FIVE

8:30 am Bus from my parents house to work.

1:30 pm – I grab lunch at a local restaurant using our office 10Bis cards (10Bis is a meal credit card service that companies use to attract and keep employees. Essentially, using the service, your company alotts each employee a certain set amount of money for lunch each day. The employee only pays the taxes taken from the full amount of the accumulated lunches at the end of the month. The tax amount is dependant on your tax income bracket.)
₪35 (expensed)
