On Shabbat Lech Lecha, synagogues across North America are invited to join the inaugural Shabbat of Aliyah, celebrating the enduring connection between the Jewish people and the Land of Israel. Through inspiring stories, meaningful conversations, and a community Kiddush, we will honor the individuals and families who have made Aliyah and recognize the important role it continues to play in Jewish life.

To participate in this sponsored Kiddush opportunity, your synagogue agrees to partner with Nefesh B’Nefesh in promoting Aliyah awareness within your community. As part of this partnership, the synagogue agrees to:

• Advertise the sponsored Kiddush to your synagogue community on the designated Shabbat (Parshat Lech Lecha), in celebration of Shabbat Aliyah.

• Have the Rabbi/Cantor (or synagogue leadership representative) share a brief message during Shabbat services recognizing Nefesh B’Nefesh, explaining the significance of Shabbat Aliyah, and highlighting the connection between the Parsha, Aliyah, and strengthening Jewish communities in Israel.

• Help create awareness among congregants about Aliyah opportunities and the mission of Nefesh B’Nefesh.

• Distribute and/or display materials provided by Nefesh B’Nefesh during the Kiddush to help attendees learn more about Aliyah resources and opportunities.

• Provide a primary synagogue contact who will coordinate Kiddush details and communication with the Nefesh B’Nefesh team.
