In the greater New York City area, you find information about Ulpan courses at http://www.ha-ulpan.org. Ha-Ulpan offers five convenient locations and multiple levels. Intensive summer courses are available.

The Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey offers an Ulpan from beginners to advanced level. Classes meet once a week for an hour and a half for 28 weeks. Classes are held in 5 different locations in New Jersey. For more information, contact Galeet Lipke on 201-820-3908 or at [email protected].

The Baltimore Zionist District holds a range of Ulpan classes for the Baltimore community. Each class is 12 sessions, twice a week for 6 weeks. For more information and to register online, see the following link.

The JCC in Chicago offers a Say it in Hebrew program that emphasizes learning the everyday language spoken in Israel, connecting Hebrew to Israeli culture so that it is practical, relevant and effective for real life. Students are immersed in a Hebrew-speaking setting in small classes with fellow learners of similar language proficiency. For more information or to register by phone, call 847.763.3627.

The Los Angeles Ulpan offers Hebrew classes in the heart of Pico Robertson. Using materials developed by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, students learn to read and write either in group classes or in private tutoring sessions. Call 310-717-3458 or check out the website for more information.

In addition, local colleges and universities frequently provide both classroom instruction and individual tutoring resources. In some programs, the cost of the tutoring is heavily subsidized for students who meet eligibility requirements.
