A good working knowledge of Hebrew is a pre-requisite for most psychology positions in order to confer with clients, and a knowledge of the culture, customs, and heritages of Israelis and of the immigrants who have made Aliyah to Israel is also important. There are some opportunities to work in an English speaking environment. Most of these opportunities are in the greater Jerusalem area.

Occasionally, the Israeli Ministry of Aliyah and Integration provides a medical Ulpan (in-person and/or online) based on registration availability.
