Ashdod

With a population of 220,000 this fifty-year-old beach-side community is the fifth largest city in Israel. While the active ports of Ashdod have made the city a household name for most new immigrants who are shipping their possessions to Israel, the city is also a viable option for Olim who are looking for a community. It is within reasonable commute to Tel Aviv and its surroundings and offers housing prices that are more affordable than some of its neighboring cities.
