The Opportunity

Nefesh B’Nefesh, together with the Steinmetz Herskovitz Family Fund, believe in the potential to improve Israeli society and the community you live in.

It is obvious to most North American Olim that the structure and texture of Israeli communities is very different from where they grew up. It can be a challenge for Olim to find their place, which can hinder their integration and satisfaction.

The 2022 Initiative for Zionist Innovation is focused on strengthening community – what have you instituted in your neighborhood that can serve as a model for community-building throughout the country? With mentorship from community builders, networking assistance, seed funding, and logistical support we believe that Olim will change the model of community in Israel and will help other Olim integrate into Israeli society.
