Many government offices and public entities accept clients by appointment only. Below you will find a number of guides to help you create appointments for all government offices easily and efficiently.

*Note that certain types of appointments for various government offices cannot be made through an automatic online appointment system, rather need to be made by email or through a designated form. Those are illustrated below as well

In Israel appointments are scheduled online via MyVisit or GoVisit, based on the government office needed.

The Ministries that you can schedule appointments for through MyVisit include:

  • Misrad Haklita (Ministry of Aliyah and Integration)
  • The Israel Postal service
  • Rental Assistance companies
  • Rabbinical Courts
  • Water Companies
  • Municipalities and many more

The Ministries that you can schedule appointments for through GoVisit include:

  • The Population and Immigration Authority – רשות האוכלוסין וההגירה
  • The Ministry of Transportation

Some of the offices that offer scheduling online appointments may not require appointments at this time, although having an appointment will shorten your wait upon arrival as those with appointments are serviced before walk-ins.

For the purpose of this guide we have chosen to walk you through scheduling appointments with 4 government offices.

The system is similar for all offices. Follow the steps illustrated below and remember we are happy to walk you through this process if you are unable to complete it on your own.

Guides for scheduling appointments that cannot be done through MyVisit:

This guide will walk you through the process for scheduling an appointment with the Visa department at the Population and Immigration Authority. This service is not available at every branch of the Population and Immigration Authority. To see a list of the branches with Visa services click here.

There are two ways to request an appointment with the Visa department at your nearest Population and Immigration Authority. The first is by filling out an online application, available on their website. The second is to send an email to the branch itself. We strongly recommend trying both methods simultaneously as different branches prefer different methods of communication.

In order to make an appointment as a former A1, schedule an appointment with the Visa – Ashrot (אשרות) department of the Population and Immigration Authority (רשות האוכלוסין וההגירה) by following the steps below.

For assistance in navigating the website to schedule appointments, call NBN Answers *3680 or email [email protected].

To request an appointment through the online application:

  1. Click the following: The Population and Immigration Authority Branches page.

This is what you will see:

       2. Click the city of your choice

       3. Once you have chosen your city, more text will drop down. Now, click the blue button that says “לפרטים נוספים”

       4. Then, click on “אשרות, מעמד ואזרחות”:

       5. Then you will see these two options drop down→ click on “להזמנת תור לאשרות”:

       6. You will then be taken to the following page to schedule your appointment. Click on “להגשת בקשה”:

7. Fill in your personal information and press the button on the bottom left marked “לשלב הבא”

8. Fill in the rest of the information and click “שלח”

You have now completed your request for an appointment with the Visa department at Misrad Hapnim! Look out for a response email or SMS to complete scheduling this appointment.

To request an appointment by emailing your local branch:

Follow steps 1-4 as listed above.

When you arrive at the following page, you will find your branch’s email address, as highlighted below. Send an email to this email address requesting an appointment.

First appointments with Misrad Haklita generally cannot be made via MyVisit because the system will not yet recognize your Teudat Zehut number. After your first meeting with Misrad Haklita, subsequent appointments may be made through MyVisit using the guide above.

Those who made Aliyah from abroad and received a Teudat Oleh/Teudat Zakaut at the airport can make an appointment over the phone by calling *2994.

Another way to make a first appointment is to fill out this online form for Misrad Haklita. Make sure that all fields are filled out correctly. After that, you should get an email from Misrad Haklita within a few days to schedule an appointment.

We recommend reaching out a few different ways. You should also email your local Misrad Haklita branch in order to schedule your first appointment. Click here to see the list of Misrad Haklita branches. Make sure that the branch you are emailing reflects your official address as it is written on the Sefach (addendum) on your Teudat Zehut.
