No. It welcomes participants from all Sherut Leumi amutot.
The residence “calendar year” generally runs from the last week of August until the last week of August the following summer – specific dates are determined per sherut year.
Apply through the Nefesh B’Nefesh website and follow the online application instructions. Applications will open in January 2026.

Yes. You can apply and update your placement information later in the process but official confirmation of placement is needed to secure your spot.
The total cost of the comprehensive program is $10,000 per participant. This amount reflects the services outlined above (excluding housing, as government regulations prohibit charging for it) and includes a $6,500 program fee. The remaining $3,500 is allocated toward scholarships for families requiring financial assistance.
Upon payment of the $3,500, you will receive a receipt from Nefesh B’Nefesh for a U.S. tax-deductible donation in that amount. The receipt will state that no goods or services were provided in exchange for your contribution.
Yes. Limited scholarships are available based on need and eligibility and must submitted as part of your application.
Each apartment has a small kitchen, there are ovens in common areas, Â laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, 2 common lounge areas, a Beit Midrash and a gym.
The residence offers single, double and triple occupancy rooms.
Each resident is issued an ID card and a FOB to enter the building.
The residence has a security guard from 7PM to 7AM daily and for the entire Shabbat.
Yes. Each resident is expected to keep her space tidy and clean.
The residence is always open for Shabbat with full security. There are urns, platot and common rooms available to share meals with friends. And shabbatonim are scheduled throughout the year.
