
Netanya is a coastal city, located north of Tel Aviv and south of Haifa. Its beautiful beaches have made the city a popular tourist destination and are a contributing factor to the city’s continued expansion.
Founded in 1929 and named after American philanthropist Nathan Strauss Netanya has a diverse mix of Jewish populations. Over 30 percent of the city’s population are immigrants, with a sizable population of English-speaking Olim, as well as large communities from the former Soviet Union, France, and Ethiopia, among others.
