Overview
Responsible for the day-to-day management of an NGO (Amuta) providing eyeglasses to people in need. The role includes operational oversight, community coordination, and management of a small in-house “store” operation.
Work is based on-site in Raanana, and some local travel is required. 75% time position.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations of the Amuta
Run the eyeglasses store: inventory, intake, fitting coordination, and distribution
Coordinate with volunteers, optometrists, suppliers, and beneficiaries
Handle beneficiary intake, eligibility, scheduling, and follow-up
Manage donations (financial and in-kind) and budgeting
Manage cash flow and salaries
Ensure compliance with Israeli Amuta regulations and reporting requirements
Represent the organization to donors, partners, and community stakeholders
Fundraising
Report to the board of directors
Qualifications:
Experience in NGO, nonprofit, community services, or retail operations (advantage)
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage volunteers
Administrative and financial tracking skills
Identify and implement tools to streamline operations and improve data-driven decision-making
Proficiency in productivity tools such as Office Suite, Google Workspace, Project, data, financial management
Languages – English and Hebrew proficiency
