Overview
A small, private family office in Jerusalem seeks an organized, highly efficient Financial Administrator. This role will oversee, coordinate, and manage Israeli financial reporting, compliance, and documentation for an Israeli-based entity with investment focuses in the U.S. The successful candidate will work closely with the U.S. based CFO and manage relationships with external Israeli advisors (accountants, attorneys, and financial institutions).
Key Responsibilities:
Tax, Compliance & Reporting
• Interface with external bookkeeping firms (e.g., BDO, RSM) to ensure they receive all necessary data and meet compliance requirements.
• Ensure timely filing of all required VAT, social security, and other corporate/individual filings.
• Coordinate company audits and tax returns with external firms.
• Perform estimated tax calculations and execute payments to the Israel Tax Authority (ITA).
• Communicate with the U.S. team regarding reporting issues and provide data for CFC/PFIC filings.
• Collaborate with the U.S. team and Israeli accountants to ensure accurate cross-border reporting and proper application of foreign tax credits under the US-Israel tax treaty.
• Identify opportunities to optimize tax efficiency in Israel.
Treasury & Operations
• Manage the Treasury function, including monitoring cash flow, optimizing interest on deposits, and managing timely rollovers.
• Maintain the Israeli cash tracker for integration into the master family reporting package.
• Manage routine accounts payable and bill payments.
Property & Entity Management
• Track income and expenses for a small portfolio of rental units for Israel/U.S. tax purposes.
• Oversee local personal projects or residential construction management in Israel.
• Assist in the formation of new local entities and advise on optimal structuring (LTD, LP, Chevra Mishpachtit, etc.)
Qualifications:
• Background: Strong background in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Financial Oversight, or Tax Reporting (Relevant degree or certification preferred).
• Tax Knowledge: Solid understanding of Israeli tax law; working knowledge of U.S. federal compliance and reporting is a major advantage.
• Languages: Professional-level fluency in both Hebrew and English (written and spoken).
• Skills: High level of computer proficiency (Excel/financial software); sharp attention to detail paired with a “big picture” understanding.
• Traits: High integrity, strict adherence to confidentiality, and a proactive, self-motivated work ethic suitable for a small office environment.
