Overview

The Head of Development will report to the CEO and take full responsibility for substantially expanding the Center’s donor base both in Israel and internationally.

Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Development will be a dynamic and inspiring leader with demonstrated success in both building and implementing a detailed fundraising strategy and substantially growing philanthropic relationships both in Israel and throughout the Jewish world so as to fund both current and future programming.

As Head of Development, You Get To:
• Be responsible for fundraising efforts in Israel and throughout the Jewish world;
• Be responsible for the solicitation of philanthropic contributions, including the facilitation of major gifts for all aspects of programming, as well as several capital campaigns;
• Oversee the Israel-based team to execute a comprehensive fundraising plan;
• Oversee several Friends of organizations to expand donor outreach;
• Take full responsibility for planning and executing major capital campaigns;
• Initiate and lead the production of all resource-development marketing efforts, including donor-driven materials, events, campaigns and initiatives.

This Job Is For You If You:
● Have prior experience of at least ten years in fundraising and donor cultivation;
● Have managed a development department in a large Israeli nonprofit;
● Have a deep understanding of both the Israeli and international philanthropic landscape and a demonstrated commitment to advancing pluralistic Judaism and shared-society values;
● Are completely fluent in both Hebrew and English, and are an experienced writer and speaker in both languages;
● Have a demonstrated familiarity with modern digital fundraising tools;
● Are personable, motivated, and a team player;
● Can multi-task and prioritize, and are a quick learner;
● Are a strategic and nuanced thinker capable of creating innovative ways to effectively engage new donor audiences;
● Are detail-oriented, organized, enthusiastic, and energetic;
● Are ethical and able to model high personal and professional standards;
● Are available to travel
