Overview
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our development team in Tel Aviv. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent college graduate looking to build a career in the non-profit sector, international development, or professional writing.
The successful candidate will play a key role in securing the funding necessary to drive our mission forward by crafting compelling proposals and managing the administrative side of the grant lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
· Proposal Development: Draft, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals and letters of inquiry to foundations and corporate donors.
· Data Management: Utilize spreadsheets to track application deadlines, manage reporting schedules, and assist in budget preparation and reports.
· Relationship Management: Coordinate with internal program staff to gather data and stories, and engage professionally with external stakeholders.
· Research: Identify new funding opportunities that align with our strategic goals.
Requirements:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree (required).
· Language: English at a mother-tongue level is essential. You must be able to write with nuance, precision, and perfect grammar.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in Google Sheets for data tracking and budgeting.
· Interpersonal Skills: Strong social skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
· Writing Excellence: A proven ability to synthesize complex information into clear, persuasive narratives.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Prior experience in grant writing or professional fundraising (internship experience is welcome).
· Familiarity with the Israeli non-profit landscape.
· Working knowledge of Hebrew is a plus, though all writing is conducted in English.
