TAU’s External Relations Division is looking for a creative, hands-on Social Media Manager & Content Creator to lead the creation, management, and growth of our global social media presence. This is a content-driven, social-first role for someone who understands how storytelling, community, and performance come together to drive engagement and build meaningful relationships.

As the fundraising and marketing arm of the university, External Relations produces content for a global audience of donors, supporters, and industry partners. You will play a central role in shaping and managing TAU’s social media channels—creating compelling video and written content, engaging directly with audiences, and using analytics to continuously optimize performance and impact.

What You’ll Do:

Create engaging short-form video content (Reels/Shorts-style) tailored to each platform

Own and actively manage TAU’s social media channels, ensuring consistent, high-quality, and strategic content output

Write compelling social media copy that complements video and visual storytelling

Film and edit content across campus, at events, and in dynamic on-the-ground settings

Edit and adapt longer-form content (events, podcasts, lectures) into social-first assets

Engage with and manage online communities, responding to comments and messages to foster meaningful interaction

Track, analyze, and report on social media performance, using insights to refine content strategy and improve results

Collaborate closely with the Strategic Communications team to align content with campaigns, messaging, and fundraising goals

Support and execute influencer collaborations, partnerships, and social media affiliate marketing initiatives

Identify trends, opportunities, and platform updates to keep TAU’s social presence fresh, relevant, and competitive

Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, content-driven environment

Who You Are:

A social-first thinker who understands how platforms, audiences, and algorithms work together

Experienced in creating high-performing content, especially short-form video

Comfortable owning social channels end-to-end—from ideation to publishing to engagement and reporting

Creative, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of storytelling

Able to balance engaging, modern content with a polished, professional institutional voice

What You Bring:

Proven experience managing social media accounts and creating content (strong video portfolio required)

Strong filming and editing skills (mobile and/or camera)

Proficiency with video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar)

Experience writing for social media across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook)

Familiarity with social media analytics tools and performance reporting

Experience or interest in influencer marketing, partnerships, and collaborations

Excellent English (spoken and written)

Competent Hebrew

Ability to work on-site at Tel Aviv University
