The Sr. Controller will lead the accounting and related operations, CF forecasting, and compliance. This senior leadership role partners with executive leadership and plays a key part in shaping the organization’s financial future.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cash flow, reserves, and financial performance metrics
- Lead the accounting department
- Prep and oversight of audit of annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with Israeli tax law, nonprofit regulations, and internal controls
- Manage relationships with auditors, legal counsel, tax advisors, suppliers, and financial institutions
- Enhance financial systems and processes to support organizational growth
- This position has the potential for long-term growth trajectory
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Controller in Israel or similar financial role
- Strong knowledge of Israeli accounting/bookkeeping, payroll
- Experience with nonprofit financial regulations – required
- Excellent negotiation skills and experience with managing relationships with large suppliers and service providers.
- Israeli CPA
- Experience running a budget of over $25 million
- Native‑level English (required) and professional Hebrew proficiency (required)
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- High proficiency with Israeli financial systems
- Ability to work full-time on‑site in our Jerusalem office
