Overview
The BARD Foundation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Scientific Program Manager. BARD Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to promoting US-Israeli collaboration of research and development of topics that
foster innovation in agriculture, food, and nutrition.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and oversee the submission and evaluation of research proposals in various
application tracks funded by the BARD foundation.
• Communicate with research institutes and scientists in Israel and the U.S. to cultivate
relationships with potential applicants.
• Supervise the ad-hoc review process with global experts, scientists, or researchers.
• Manage the evaluation processes, including panel member recruitment, orientation
meetings, and final resolutions.
• Update program guidelines to ensure alignment with evolving needs.
• Correspond with other funding agencies and prepare written material for meetings (in
the US and Israel), including scientific content for internal and external
communications.
Qualifications:
• Required: master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., agriculture, biological sciences, environmental sciences, nutritional sciences, etc.). A PhD degree will be an advantage.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in relevant field. In addition, at least 2 years’ experience conducting or assisting in research projects in the public or private sector will be an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• Fluent English skills – written and verbal; Strong Hebrew skills-written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Familiarity with relational databases and analytics tools is an advantage.
