Overview
The Lookstein Center is seeking a virtual Part-Time Summer School Principal and Teacher for The Lookstein Center’s Lookstein Virtual Jewish Academy. As Principal, you will be responsible for faculty supervision and relationship management, with some data analysis and course maintenance. The Summer School Principal will work with partner schools, parents, students, and faculty to ensure the success of its student body. The position requires close collaboration with Lookstein’s logistics, technological, and admissions teams, but also independent work. The principal will also teach a number of Lookstein Virtual Jewish Academy’s high school Jewish studies classes. The successful candidate will be able to forge connections online and pay attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
This is a flexible virtual position during standard Israeli work hours and may require some evening work.
10-15 hours per week, June – August, with some hours in May and September.
Requirements:
Can-do attitude and growth mindset
Demonstrated high levels of comfort with technology and data analysis
7+ years of experience teaching Jewish Studies in Jewish High schools in North America
3+ years of experience with an online learning environment/educational technology
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with the following: LMS and project management software
