We’re looking to expand our team of Online Engagement Specialists.
Work Scope: 3-4 hours a day Sunday-Thursday.
Mid-afternoon through evening Israel Standard Time / Late morning – early afternoon NY Time EST.
Job Description:
Online Engagement Specialists engage in real-time text typing chats with our readers on our website, FB, Instagram, and WhatsApp channels to:
1. Open conversations about Jewish topics, current events, Israel etc. 2. Encourage taking next steps in Judaism (sign up for courses, get connected to a local Rabbi or virtual study partners) 3. Build trust & establish a relationship as a pathway for continued communication 4. Answer questions about different areas in Jewish law/thought 5. Practically advise on life challenges, personal growth, and relationship dilemmas 6. Suggest articles or other of our learning resources
Expected Outcomes of the Position Include:
● Maximizing engagement and meeting monthly targets.
● Tracking data and consistently improving performance.
● Persistently following up with leads to take the next steps in the funnel.
● Researching/networking to find the appropriate local Rabbis to make introductions with
● Increasing engagement with other of our products such as newsletter, online events.
● Maintaining the brand through professional communication.
Requirements:
● BA (preferably in Psychology, Social Work or Education) or training in Copywriting
● English mother tongue with a preferred command of Hebrew
● Very tech-savvy, highly intuitive and out-of-the-box thinker.
● An ambitious, go-getter, sales personality. You must love getting people into conversations and persuading them to take their next step in Judaism.
● Superior written communication and multitasking skills (the job requires holding between 3-5 text conversations at the same time)
● A strong familiarity with different areas of Judaism (e.g. Halacha, Chumash, Personal Growth, Philosophy, History).
● Excellence in explaining Torah concepts in a relatable way to Jews of all backgrounds and affiliations. Experience in Kiruv is preferred.
● Comfortability working with sensitive and personal topics (illness, gender, sexuality, trauma).
