Overview

We’re looking for a highly skilled Video Editor to join our team at The Times of Israel in our Jerusalem office. If you’re a fast and proficient editor with native-level English, have a strong technical foundation to see a production from start to finish, sharp news judgment, and a keen sense of what flies on social media, this role is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing:
-Multi-camera production and editing: You should be fluent in the grammar of multi-cam editing, knowing exactly when and how to make a cut and understand the grammar of this editing style
-Footage: You will be responsible for searching for relevant news footage to add to the video version of our podcast reels and to our reporter narrative short takes
-Social media clips: Create engaging, fast-paced edits tailored for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
-After Effects (Preferred): Basic experience working with After Effects templates and motion graphics in general
-English captioning of newsworthy Hebrew videos: A native English speaker is required, as clips will involve translation for an English-speaking audience

What You Need:
Expertise in Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
A fast workflow and strong technical skills
Experience in multi-camera editing
Social media video savvy
Sharp news judgement and adaptability
Basic knowledge of After Effects (preferred)
Native-level English
