Job Description

Creating a safe, nurturing, structured classroom environment
Establishing clear routines, expectations, and classroom procedures
Monitoring students’ social-emotional wellbeing and overall development
Building strong relationships with students and families
Serving as the primary point of contact for homeroom parents
Planning and teaching the assigned curriculum
Differentiating instruction for different learning needs
Monitoring academic progress and providing assessments/feedback
Communicating regularly with parents about progress or concerns
Collaborating with teachers, administration, resource staff, and the school psychologist
Participating in meetings, school events, and student discussions
Contributing to curriculum development and planning

Requirements 

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field – required
Teaching certificate – preferred / required depending on the position
Previous teaching experience, preferably in elementary school
Experience as a homeroom teacher – an advantage
Strong classroom management skills
Ability to create a warm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and staff
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional team
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to differentiate instruction and respond to a range of academic and social-emotional needs
High level of responsibility, initiative, flexibility, and professionalism
Fluent English – required for an English-speaking teaching position
Hebrew proficiency – an advantage
