Overview

 

The Head of Resource Development will work with the organization’s executives to considerably increase funding both in Israel and internationally, for ongoing EMMS needs, especially the EMMS Nazareth Hospital, including significant capital campaigns.
Reporting to the CEO, you will have well-honed managerial skills as well as demonstrated success in raising major capital gifts, building a fundraising strategy, working with hospital executives, and growing philanthropic relationships both throughout Israel and internationally.

As Head of Resource Development, You Get To:
• Be responsible for all global fundraising efforts;
• Manage a considerable portfolio of donors and prospects, cultivating and soliciting major donors worldwide – both among the existing donor base and by identifying new prospects;
• Expand the hospital’s donor base both in Israel and internationally;
• Solicit major contributions for ongoing EMMS needs, as well as its new facility, securing major gifts at the six-to-seven-figure level;
• Build and manage a fundraising team that can achieve annual fundraising goals;
• Oversee all grant applications and reports to funders and prospective funders – both in English and in Hebrew;
• Plan and lead donor visits and missions;
• Oversee the development of fundraising materials, events, campaigns and initiatives;
• Oversee all data management, as well as gift processing and acknowledgement;
• Oversee all research on prospects and assemble materials for cultivation and solicitation visits;
• Work closely and in cooperation with the executive team in Israel and the UK;
• Work closely and in cooperation with the PR and comms teams in Israel and the UK.

This Job Is For You If:
• Have previously managed a resource development department;
• Have demonstrated prior experience in fundraising, board development, donor cultivation, and grant writing;
• Have previously managed a major capital campaign;
• Are personable, motivated, and a team player;
• Are an experienced writer and speaker;
• Can multi-task and prioritize, and are a quick learner;
• Are a strategic and nuanced thinker capable of creating innovative ways to effectively engage new donor audiences;
• Are detail-oriented, organized, enthusiastic, and energetic;
• Have a deep understanding of the Israeli and Jewish philanthropic landscape;
• Are ethical and able to model high personal and professional standards;
• Have an academic degree.
