Overview
We have an opportunity for an Outreach Associate for the Rhodes Scholarships for Israel to join the Rhodes Trust, Oxford. This role will be responsible for supporting the Israel National Secretariat in developing and implementing the outreach strategy for the Rhodes Scholarships for Israel, overseeing a wide range of outreach activities each year.
Start: as soon as possible.
Contract: 12 months fixed-term contract
Hours: 15 hours per week
Reports to: Outreach Manager for the Rhodes Scholarships and the National Secretary for the Rhodes Scholarships for Israel
The Role
Reporting directly to the National Secretary for Israel and the Trust’s Outreach Manager, this role will work in close coordination with Rhodes House staff, especially in the Selection & Outreach Team. We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly-organised, individual with excellent IT skills and a deep connection to and knowledge of Israel.
The role will be responsible for:
Outreach:
– Together with the National Secretary, the Deputy Secretary, and the team at Rhodes House, design and implement the annual outreach programme in the constituency; de-velop and distribute marketing materials for the constituency; develop an annual social media strategy campaign; and help coordinate and lead information sessions online, at universities, schools, and with tertiary scholarship programmes nationally.
– Build networks with key staff members at universities and other organisations in Israel, that will facilitate the application of high-potential, talented young graduates from di-verse backgrounds for Rhodes Scholarships; create and maintain a database of key contacts.
Communication and managing the Rhodes Brand in the constituency
– Together with the Communications and Selection and Outreach teams in Rhodes House and any relevant PR consultants, ensure that the Rhodes Scholarship and Na-tional Secretariat are well presented to all its constituencies and the general public through a well-managed public relations/ communication strategy.
– Ensure that all branding, marketing materials, communiques and messaging align with Rhodes House guidelines.
– To manage, implement and foster:
o Effective communication and cordial relationships with key stakeholders – in-cluding, but not limited to, Rhodes Scholars, alumni volunteers and the Rhodes Development Team (GET) situated across the world.

• Carrying out any other duties relevant to the role, as requested.

Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
– Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
– Significant experience and knowledge of Israel, either through educational background or professional experience.
– Based in Israel full or part-time
– Excellent interpersonal, communication and team-building skills.
– Self-motivated with an ability to work alone (or in a team as necessary) and get the job done.
– Excellent organisational skills and effective office management skills.
– An ability to manage a range of tasks and projects simultaneously.
– Passion for education and improving the lives of high-potential graduates.
– Proficient user of IT, including MS skills, Shared drives (e.g. SharePoint), and Zoom.
– Experience with (or willingness to learn) a database programme.
