A unique opportunity to join a unit engaged in the core of the Bank’s policy work – analyzing inflation and interest rate trends, assessing Israel’s macroeconomic situation, and preparing materials supporting the Monetary Committee’s decisions.

Job Description:

  1. Ongoing assistance to the unit’s economists in processing and presenting economic information, and in preparing documents and presentations.
  2. Participation in preparing materials for Monetary Committee discussions ahead of interest rate decisions.
  3. Performing research and analytical tasks in the areas of interest rates, inflation, capital markets, and economic activity, according to the department’s needs, including leading independent research work under the guidance of the unit’s economists.

Requirements:

  1. Economics student from the second year onward, with at least two years of studies remaining (including master’s degree studies).
  2. Full proficiency in Office tools.
  3. Familiarity with data analysis and coding in R or Python – an advantage.
  4. High-level English, with emphasis on the ability to read and process research materials.
  5. Ability to learn quickly, analytical thinking, and professional curiosity, alongside responsibility, initiative, and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  6. Availability to work at least 25 hours per week, spread over 3–4 workdays, during the department’s regular operating hours and with physical presence during the team’s working hours.

Employment will be under a special contract for temporary employees, for a maximum period of up to 5 years or until completion of studies as a full-time student.
