Overview
This institute, which conducts economic research that directly impacts Israel’s economic strength and inclusive growth, seeks an ambitious and experienced Development professional to take responsibility for stewarding the Institute’s existing partners and for working with the CEO to significantly expand the current funding base.
As Development Manager, You Get To:
• Work hand-in-hand with the CEO to develop and implement the Institute’s resource development strategy;
• Have full responsibility for maintaining all donor stewardship, ensuring high-quality communication and reporting;
• Conduct prospect research to develop opportunities for engaging new funders in the work of the Institute;
• Oversee and drive the writing of all grant proposals (including budgets) and reports, ensuring they are well-written, accurate, impact-driven, and tell a compelling story;
• Oversee the drafting of all correspondence, LOIs, and other supporting documents, adapting to the needs of each donor and prospect;
• Work with researchers and program leaders to translate policy and research initiatives into fundable projects;
• Coordinate internally to manage the full lifecycle of grants, including submissions, reporting, and renewals;
• Prepare all donor meetings;
• Have full responsibility for the tracking of all grant cycles on a donor-management platform, in an organized and streamlined manner, including all reporting requirements, check-in meetings, and donor cultivation activities.
This Job Is For You If You:
• Have at least five years’ experience in the Development department of an Israeli nonprofit, preferably an academic institution;
• Have demonstrated success writing successful grants, reports, and the full gamut of written donor communications;
• Have faultless English and impeccable writing skills;
• Have faultless Hebrew and impeccable writing skills;
• Are familiar with data management platforms;
• Have proven experience preparing detailed budgets;
• Have strong management and organizational abilities, and can manage multiple deadlines simultaneously;
• Are familiar with prospect research tools;
• Can work collaboratively with researchers, policy experts, and government stakeholders;
• Are proactive, detail-oriented, and mission-driven;
• Can multi-task and prioritize, and are a quick learner.
