Overview
The Associate Director of Partnerships, Aisa & Europe is a senior leader responsible for driving Momentum’s strategic growth across Europe and key global markets. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, partnerships, and execution, shaping how Momentum expands its reach while deepening its impact.
This role reports to the Director of Partnerships. In close partnership with the Director of Partnerships and cross-functional leadership, this role leads the design and execution of a multi-year regional growth strategy, oversees entry into new markets, and ensures that expansion is both mission-aligned and operationally strong.
The Associate Director brings a balance of strategic vision and disciplined execution, leading regional partnership efforts, guiding market pilots, and overseeing Momentum trips to Israel. They manage a team of Partnership Managers and are accountable for regional performance, budget oversight, and sustained partnership growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Global Expansion & Market Strategy
• Lead the development and execution of a multi-year regional expansion strategy, including prioritization of high-potential markets
• Define clear success metrics and milestones, and continuously assess performance across new regions
• Oversee pilot markets from launch through evaluation, translating insights into scalable growth strategies
Strategic Partnerships
• Shape and implement a comprehensive partnership strategy for Europe, aligned with Momentum’s long-term vision and growth priorities
• Identify and activate opportunities to expand reach, deepen engagement, and strengthen ecosystem impact
• Partner across departments, including Marketing and Education, to ensure new initiatives are responsive to partner needs and market dynamics
Partnership Growth & Market Development
• Lead the identification, cultivation, and conversion of high-value partnerships across the region
• Expand Momentum’s presence within existing communities while entering new ones with strong long-term potential
• Design and implement city-level strategies to increase collaboration, participation, and local impact
• Conduct rigorous market mapping to assess community needs, readiness, and sustainability
• Develop and execute growth plans with key national partners
• Drive achievement of regional participation and expansion goals
• Use ongoing market insights to inform strategy, program design, and partner engagement
Partnership Management & Program Delivery
• Oversee and strengthen relationships with partner organizations, ensuring alignment with Momentum’s mission, standards, and expectations
• Ensure partners are set up for success across recruitment, marketing, fundraising, logistics, and program delivery
• Drive performance against regional impact metrics, including partner growth, participant engagement, and diversity
• Ensure high-quality delivery and measurable impact of programs implemented through partners
• Lead the development and evolution of partner training tools and resources
Team Leadership
• Lead, develop, and inspire a team of Partnership Managers
• Set clear expectations, provide consistent feedback, and invest in professional growth
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence
• Strengthen cross-functional alignment and ensure meaningful participation in organizational hubs and initiatives
Operations & Regional Management
• Oversee regional budgeting, planning, and financial performance in partnership with Finance
• Ensure strong operational discipline and accurate reporting
• Contribute to systems and process improvements, including CRM and internal tools
Lay Leadership & Donor Engagement
• Build and steward relationships with lay leaders, alumni, and key stakeholders across the region.
• Identify and research prospective donors, assessing alignment with organizational priorities, and provide qualified leads to the Development team for strategic cultivation and engagement.
• Represent Momentum in the field, strengthening visibility and trust with partners and communities
Additional Responsibilities
• Contribute to broader organizational priorities and initiatives as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 5–7 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, partnerships, or program management; experience in global or multi-regional environments strongly preferred
• Strong proficiency in English, Hebrew and Russian, both verbally and in writing. Other European languages are a strong plus
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; Master’s Degree preferred
• Strong strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into execution across complex initiatives
• Proven experience managing and developing high-performing teams
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to drive results, solve problems, and navigate ambiguity
• Experience with CRM systems, Salesforce preferred, and project management tools such as Asana
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools
• Able to convey deep alignment with Momentum’s mission and a strong connection to Israel
• Willingness to travel and engage directly with partners and programs
• Flexibility to work across time zones, including occasional evenings and Sundays
