Overview
The Director of Finance will lead all financial strategy and operations, forecasting, and compliance. This senior leadership role partners closely with executive leadership and plays a key part in shaping the organization’s financial future.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cash flow, reserves, and financial performance metrics
- Lead the accounting department
- Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with organizational goals
- Prep and oversight of audit of annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with Israeli tax law, nonprofit regulations, and internal controls
- Manage relationships with auditors, legal counsel, tax advisors, and financial institutions
- Build and lead a high‑performing finance team
- Enhance financial systems and processes to support organizational growth
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Director of Finance, Controller or similar financial role
- Experience running a budget of over $25 million dollars
- Native‑level English (required)
- Professional Hebrew proficiency (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA strongly advantageous
- Strong knowledge of Israeli accounting and nonprofit financial regulations
- Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, and data‑driven decision‑making
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- High proficiency with financial systems and advanced Excel
- Ability to work full time on‑site in our Jerusalem office
