Bar-Ilan University, Israel’s second largest research university, is in the midst of a strategic growth spurt, and is looking for an exceptional professional to play a key role in shaping this momentum. This is a unique leadership role at the heart of our global engagement – driving international fundraising strategies, cultivating meaningful relationships with major donors, and advancing high-impact global campaigns.

Job Description:
• Development and implementation of comprehensive university philanthropic fundraising strategies tailored to existing and prospective donors in English-speaking countries worldwide (excluding the United States), with a focus on major gifts and bequests, in coordination with the relevant Friends Associations.
• Donor relations management: developing and maintaining relationships with key donors in target countries, ensuring regular communication, personal engagement, and effective stewardship, particularly during visits to Israel.
• Implementation of a global campaign in target countries: playing a key role in executing a global fundraising campaign in English-speaking countries, while adhering to university priorities and timelines.
• Close collaboration with other units within the division and with additional departments across the university.
• Accompanying delegations and donor visits from target countries, including visits to the university and participation in relevant events held in Israel.
• Donor proposals and reports: working in collaboration with the content unit to develop proposals, and prepare reports and presentations for donors, while meeting reporting deadlines and ensuring appropriate donor recognition.
• Performance monitoring and analysis: continuously updating operational methods and improving service to donors and Friends Associations in target countries.
• Carrying out additional projects and tasks as required by operational needs and as directed by supervisors.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree – required (preference for Marketing, Sales, Communications, or Business Administration).
• Master’s degree – an advantage.
• Proven experience of at least 3 years in fundraising, preferably for universities and/or large nonprofit organizations.
• Experience working with international Friends Associations, with an emphasis on initiating major gifts and building long-term relationships with high-profile donors.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively and drive processes independently.
• Familiarity with donor management systems (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.
• High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and cultural sensitivity in working with donors.
• English – native-level proficiency.
• Ability to work from home in accordance with supervisors’ requests.
• Alignment with the university’s unique atmosphere, values, and mission.
