Overview

The Director of Global Resource Development will partner with the VP Global Affairs to expand philanthropic support in Israel and abroad.
Reporting to the VP Global Affairs, the Director of Global Resource Development will work to strengthen Sheba Medical Center’s relationships with donors and partner organizations worldwide. The position involves building and managing an on-site development team as well as overseeing the development and implementation of a development strategy and annual work plan.

As Director of Global Resource Development, You Get To:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive RD strategy to address Sheba’s funding goals, and oversee its implementation worldwide;
• Develop an annual work plan for global efforts and oversee its implementation;
• Fully support and coordinate all communication and outreach efforts with Sheba’s Friends Associations globally;
• Have full responsibility for managing a portfolio of major funding partners;
• Assist in conceptualizing and implementing major fundraising campaigns;
• Build and manage the Sheba’s RD team;
• Oversee the writing and submission of all donor-driven materials (both visual and written), including high-quality funding proposals, reports, updates, and marketing materials that address all global efforts;
• Oversee the tracking and management of donor information, including accurate recordkeeping of incoming donations and commitments, ensuring timely acknowledgments and stewardship;
• Plan and lead donor visits and missions.

This Job Is For You If You:
• Have prior experience in raising major gifts, board development, and donor cultivation in an Israeli nonprofit;
• Have previously fundraised for a comparable Israeli institution;
• Have proven experience managing a development team;
• Understand the Israeli and Jewish philanthropic landscape;
• Are fluent in Hebrew and English;
• Are personable, motivated, and a team player;
• Are a strong writer and speaker;
• Are a strategic thinker who can engage new donor audiences;
• Are detail-oriented, organized, and energetic;
• Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards;
• Are available to travel abroad frequently.
