Overview
The Head of IR and Corporate Communication leads the development and execution of the company’s investor relations and corporate communication strategies. This role is instrumental in leading relationships with the investment community and media, ensuring transparent and effective communication externally and supporting the company’s strategic goals. It is also critical in ensuring that the Company “speaks with one voice.” The Head of IR and Corporate Communications shapes and executes the investor relations strategy and the equity story, provides insights and analysis to support corporate decision making and drives value for shareholders.
The Head of IR and Corporate Communications will be responsible for developing and leading a strategic investor relations and corporate communications function for Compugen driving fair valuation of the company’s equity and enhancing the company’s image, including, the company’s positioning in the financial community, communication with investors and analysts, communication in the various media platforms, corporate website, corporate presentations, and press releases.
Investor relations play a critical role in enhancing the company’s visibility, credibility and shareholder value through effective communication, strategic engagement, and transparent disclosure practices.
- Develop and implement investor relations and corporate communications strategy to enhance investor confidence
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and CFO and represent the views of the investor community to the management team. Advise leadership on market trends, competitor activities, analyst expectations, and market perception
- Partner with numerous functions across the company, to enable accurate and optimal delivery of key messages, and to ensure that investor communications are aligned with communications across all external audiences.
- Lead the preparation of materials for quarterly earnings and other material events, including press releases, corporate presentation, website, Q&A, and script. Prepare spokespersons for interactions with the investment community.
- Develop strong relationships with the investment community- investors, analysts, corporate access and serve as the first point of contact.
- Build relationships with media outlets
- Organize participation in investor conferences, road shows, earnings conference calls, and investor meetings
- Maintenance of investor database and targeting plan for new and existing investors
- Develop and manage an annual investor relations and corporate communications budget, evaluate engagement, and lead relationships with IR service providers as needed
Requirements:
- Relevant academic degree in science
- 10+ years of experience in Investor Relations, Equity Research, Investment Banking, Capital Markets, or Corporate Strategy
- Successful track record of interfacing with the investment community
- Public company experience required
- Prior experience with life science companies– a must; biotech – an advantage
- Strong writing skills and note-taking, excellent attention to detail, and diligence in a deadline-driven environment
- English mother tongue level – a must
- Exceptional oral and written communications and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, a team player, commitment to excellence
