Overview

You will cut evidence-first stories into culture-speed videos that catch attention quickly and hold it. You will work with producers, researchers, and on-camera talent to ship short-form daily and support longer edits when needed. 

Responsibilities: 

Edit social-first videos (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) with strong hooks, pacing, and clear structure

Build clean narratives from raw interviews, research clips, archives, and screen recordings

Add captions, sound design, basic motion graphics, and on-screen proof elements

Keep projects organized: bins, assets, naming, timelines, backups

Hit deadlines without losing quality

Qualifications:

Proven editing portfolio (short-form required)

Strong command of Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve (After Effects a plus)

Excellent sense of rhythm, clarity, and story structure

Comfortable working with sensitive political content and evidence-based claims

Fast, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to take direct feedback

High-level English (for on-screen text, captions, and collaboration)

Nice to have:

Motion graphics, color, audio cleanup

Experience in news, documentary, or advocacy-style media

Familiarity with platform performance basics (retention, watch time, hook testing)
