Job Description:

Kedma seeks an enthusiastic and creative Head of Development to take overall responsibility for developing the organization’s resources, most particularly expanding the donor base to drive growth.

As Head of Development, You Get To:
• Have full responsibility for all resource development activities
• Have full responsibility for creating and implementing an annual fundraising plan
• Have full responsibility for the writing of all grant proposals (including budgets), reports, LOIs, correspondence, and other supporting documents, ensuring they are well-written, accurate, impact-driven, and tell a compelling story
• Be responsible for expanding the current donor base both in Israel and abroad (foundations, private donors, the corporate sector, and government sources)
• Have full responsibility for the planning and execution of a marketing and PR strategy
• Manage an FRD team of two
• Develop opportunities for engaging new donors in the work of the organization
• Oversee the preparation and lead all donor meetings
• Oversee the tracking of grant cycles and donor engagement in an organized and streamlined manner, including all reporting requirements, check-in meetings, and donor cultivation activities

Job Requirements: 
This Job Is For You If You:
• Have demonstrated success overseeing a Development Department in an Israeli nonprofit
• Have demonstrated success writing successful grants, reports, and the full gamut of written donor communications
• Have faultless English and impeccable writing skills
• Have faultless Hebrew and impeccable writing skills
• Are familiar with data management
• Have proven experience preparing detailed budgets on Excel spreadsheets
• Can complete projects with exceptional attention to detail and efficiency
• Are action-oriented and flexible, and able to work independently as well as to collaborate with colleagues
• Are personable, motivated, and a team player
• Can multitask and prioritize, and are a quick learner
