She speaks about her own resilience and about the obligation to continue to live life from a place of deep compassion, and self-compassion.
ABOUT SPEAKEASY TEL AVIV
Speakeasy Tel Aviv brings English-speaking audiences face-to-face with some of Israel’s most interesting voices, for intimate, thoughtful conversations about the issues shaping the country today.
What makes Speakeasy different is the opportunity to go beyond the headlines. Our conversations explore Israel’s politics, diplomacy, security, society and culture, with plenty of room for questions and a good exchange of views.
The evenings are moderated by Calev Ben-Dor, Editor of Fathom, a Jonathan Sacks Scholar and author of After the Dust And Ashes: Oct 7, the Book of Job, and Journeys from Grief to Hope. Calev has worked in Israel’s Foreign Ministry and in the national security and policy world, including at the Reut Institute and BICOM. His particular strength is making complicated subjects accessible, without making them simplistic.
Supported by the Am Yisrael Foundation and hosted at Nefesh B’Nefesh in Tel Aviv, Speakeasy aims to provide great conversations, interesting encounters and a welcoming place to hear different perspectives, while giving something back to the community.
