About Lihi Lapid:
Israeli Writer & Journalist
Speaker on Contemporary Women’s Issues and an activist on inclusion kids and adult with special needs in the community.

Lihi Lapid is a bestselling author, journalist, and speaker on contemporary women’s issues.
She has written three bestselling novels –On her own (Published at the US with HarperCollins 2024), Secrets from Within, and Woman of Valor, as well as a bestselling children’s book.

For over ten years, Lapid has been writing a weekly column in Israel’s main newspaper, Yediot Ahronot. The columns where gathered in the book “I Can’t Always Be Wonderful”.

Prior to becoming a writer, Lapid was a professional news photographer.
She lives with her husband, Yair Lapid, politician and former prime minister of Israel, and their two children in Tel Aviv.

Her daughter is a girl with autism and Lapid is the president of a benefit organisation called SHEKEL – Inclusion for People with Disabilities.

About Adeena Sussman:

Adeena Sussman is the author of the New York Times bestselling cookbook Shabbat: Recipes and Rituals From My Table To Yours. Shabbat is the followup to Sababa: Fresh, Sunny Flavors From My Israeli Kitchen, which was named a Best Fall 2019 cookbook by The New York Times, Bon Appetit, and Food & Wine.

Her new cookbook, Zariz: 100 Easy, Breezy, Tel Aviv-y Recipes, will be released on April 28th. Since the October 7th attacks, she has used her platform to focus on the resilience of the Israeli food industry, highlighting businesses impacted by war and sharing how the culinary industry rallied to support the country.

She also authors xoxo Adeena, a weekly Substack newsletter. A lifelong visitor to Israel who has been writing about that country’s food culture for almost 20 years, Adeena cooks and writes in Tel Aviv, where she lives in the shadow of that city’s Carmel Market with her husband, Jay Shofet.
