A brief presentation about a trip I took before and after the IAJGS conference in Warsaw in 2018 through the heart of Galicia with a group of descendants of the shtetl where my father was born, Nadworna which was in Galicia, then Poland and now in Ukraine.
Dr. Steven Turner is the President of Gesher Galicia and a retired dentist dedicated to Jewish genealogy and heritage preservation. His passion began in childhood at a Brooklyn Galitzianer shul. Today, he leads multiple research groups, manages Ashkenazi DNA projects, restores cemeteries, and serves on the board of the Jewish Genealogy Society of Long Island.
