Screenwriting 101: From Character to Scene with Michal Cooper-Keren

Do you toy with ideas for TV series? Think about turning a story into a film? In this high impact, inspiring workshop, you’ll be introduced to the hallmarks of visual storytelling for the screen. You’ll learn how to transform your initial idea into an exciting premise, and expand it into a synopsis, followed by a treatment, and, finally, a full script. You will then be invited to write a sample scene from your screenplay through exercises that will help you shape your characters, spark conflict, and make cinematic choices that bring a scene to life.

Open to all levels and all genres, this workshop will take place at Israel Writers Studio in TLV in person or on zoom for anyone who is unable to get to the table.
