Surviving Nova: Noa Nahmani on Faith, Healing & Starting Again
About the Talk:
Join us for an intimate evening as Nova survivor Noa Nahmani opens up about her journey from tragedy to spiritual renewal — and how she chose to embrace Shabbat after spending weeks recovering in the hospital in 2023. Noa will walk us through the dark winter after she was attacked at the Nova music festival, the turning point when faith and hope broke through, and how deciding to “keep Shabbat” became part of her healing journey. She shares how she reminds herself where she started, how far she’s come, and how healing isn’t linear — that even today, there are moments when the darkness still hits. In her talk, Noa will reveal how she learned to give space to her feelings, how faith lifted her precisely in the hardest places, and why choosing Shabbat became a turning point in rebuilding her life.
About The Speaker:
Noa Nachmani is a 28-year-old Nova survivor from Haifa whose journey to observance has become a source of inspiration. After studying theatre serving in the Israeli Air Force, Noa became a medical massage therapist for women, and a yoga and meditation instructor for children. Raised in a family with observant grandparents and secular parents, she gradually deepened her connection to Hashem, began keeping Shabbat, and now speaks at community events about resilience, and practical ways to bring balance and holiness into daily life
