A Life in the RAF in its 107th Year – A Perspective from the UK Air Attache to Israel: Lecture by Chris Berryman

19:30 Tuesday 1 April

What is it like to serve in the world’s oldest Air Force? What connection does the Royal Air Force have with Israel and the wider region and what is it like to represent your Service and Military in a foreign country. Chris has the answers!! You don’t have to be British to have an interesting evening out.

Wing Commander Chris Berryman is the Naval & Air Attache in the British Embassy and has been in Israel for almost 4 years. He has served in the Royal Air Force Regiment for 37 years. Previously he has served on operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia and Northern Ireland. His last assignment was working for the US Air Force in the Pentagon. He has also worked for the United Nations and NATO and studied for an MSc with the Indian Defence Forces.

Chris is married to Hazel and they have a 19-year old son at University in York. They live in Herzliya Pituach. Chris is a keen mountaineer having climbed extensively in the Himalaya, Europe and North America and is an enthusiastic but not very good fly fisherman.
