The Jewish Agency for Israel

Since 1929, The Jewish Agency for Israel has brought 3 millions Jews on Aliyah. In August 2008, Nefesh B’Nefesh and The Jewish Agency for Israel reached a historic agreement which produced an unprecedented collaborative venture for North American Aliyah. In essence, North American Aliyah is now processed through one application overseen by Nefesh B’Nefesh. The streamlined process provides a “one-stop shop” for making Aliyah and is considerably more time efficient and convenient for Olim.

JNF-USA

In 2013, JNF USA forged a partnership with Nefesh B’Nefesh to build and develop the land of Israel in general and the frontier communities in particular, through an infusion of skilled, talented and idealistic North American Olim. Since its founding in 1901, the JNF has evolved into a global environmental leader by planting 240 million trees, building over 200 reservoirs and dams, developing over 250,000 acres of land, creating more than 1,000 parks, providing the infrastructure for over 1,000 communities, bringing life to the Negev Desert and Northern Israel and educating students around the world about Israel and the environment.

Keren Keyemeth LeIsrael

Nefesh B’Nefesh and Keren Keyemeth LeIsrael partnered to create Go Beyond – a joint initiative encouraging Aliyah to Northern and Southern Israel and Jerusalem.

Driven by the national mission of developing these regions, and the understanding that these areas offer a wealth of opportunities for English-speaking Olim, Nefesh B’Nefesh encourages and incentivizes new and veteran Olim to move to these locations with their families.

Since the initial decision to encourage Aliyah to the periphery of Israel, thousands of Olim have immigrated to the North and the South of the country.

Prime Minister’s Office

Nefesh B’Nefesh first formalized its partnership with the Israeli government in November 2005, when Prime Minister Ariel Sharon authorized governmental funding for Nefesh B’Nefesh on a trial basis. In September 2008, the Israeli government officially recognized Nefesh B’Nefesh in a decision designed to enhance Aliyah from Western countries. A unanimous cabinet decision gave the authority to the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption to permanently fund one third of Nefesh B’Nefesh’s annual Aliyah-servicing budget. In February 2010 an additional cabinet decision was made increasing the government allocation to NBN.

FIDF

In spring 2010, Nefesh B’Nefesh forged a partnership with FIDF (Friends of Israel Defense Forces) which aims to create and support social, educational, cultural and recreational programs and facilities for the young men and women who serve to defend the Jewish homeland. The FIDF also provides support for the families of fallen soldiers. Through this joint initiative, both organizations will work to provide comprehensive support for Lone Soldiers making Aliyah and help make their acclimation in the IDF and Israel as smooth and successful as possible.

Ministry of Aliyah and Integration

The Ministry provides government assistance to Olim and returning residents, including determining eligibility for Aliyah benefits, providing personal support and financial aid. It offers resources for personal, family and community integration and assists Olim in areas such as housing, employment and culture.

The Marcus Foundation

The Marcus Foundation is a U.S. based philanthropic organization that focuses on Jewish causes, children, medical research, free enterprise and the community. Over the past few years this foundation, headed by Bernie Marcus, has assisted Nefesh B’Nefesh in accomplishing its goals by providing significant sponsorships.

Ministry of Development of the Negev and the Galilee

The Ministry provides support for Nefesh B’Nefesh’s ‘Go North’ program. It is responsible for developing the Negev and the Galilee, which is considered by Israel’s Government as a top national priority. The Ministry focuses on advancing economically-oriented projects, with a view to creating an infrastructure of progress and prosperity that will benefit their present and future residents.
