The following is a list of items to bring with you when you go to your Lishkat Hagiyus (drafting office) on the day of your Tzav Giyus (draft notification).<\/p>\n

Pack all items in a 60 to 90 liter bag.<\/p>\n

Make sure you bring enough toiletries and clothing to last for a two week period.<\/p>\n<\/div>

  • Digital Watch with a timer (preferably water proof)<\/li>\n
  • Underwear<\/li>\n
  • Army socks, can be purchased at any outdoor\/army store (like Rikushet); colors must be grey or black ONLY<\/li>\n
  • Undershirts, long sleeve and short sleeve, depending on the weather; colors must be army green or white ONLY<\/li>\n
  • Toiletries for a two week period including toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, soap, Q-tips, brush, razors, shaving cream; note that you will be expected to be clean-shaven every day, unless you get a P\u2019tor (exemption) from shaving<\/li>\n
  • Hanging toiletry bag for the shower (the army gives you one, but it usually breaks)<\/li>\n
  • Towel<\/li>\n
  • Toilet Paper<\/li>\n
  • Baby wipes (useful for a wide range of clean-up jobs!)<\/li>\n
  • Bedding (sheets for single and a mini pillow) or a sleeping bag<\/li>\n
  • Snacks and a book (optional)<\/li>\n
  • Phone charger<\/li>\n
  • Mini locks for your bag; unfortunately, theft can be a problem<\/li>\n
  • Flip flops for the shower, to avoid athlete\u2019s foot<\/li>\n
  • Pair of shorts and a shirt for sport<\/li>\n
  • Running shoes<\/li>\n
  • Clothing to sleep in<\/li>\n
  • Extra layers to sleep in (black fleece, sweatshirt or long underwear), depending on the weather<\/li>\n
  • Teudat Zehut<\/li>\n
  • Teudat Oleh<\/li>\n
  • Apartment contract (if renting an apartment)<\/li>\n
  • Bank information (so the army can pay you)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
