The Ruppin Academic Center Bestows Honorary Fellowship to Nefesh B'Nefesh
(Gazerelle Valley, Israel: Thursday, 29 May 2008) The Ruppin Academic Center awarded Nefesh B'Nefesh an Honorary Fellowship last night (Wed., May 28th ), in a special ceremony for 800 of its graduates. Co-Founder and Executive Director of Nefesh B’Nefesh, Rabbi Yehoshua Fass received the award on behalf of the organization together with Co-Chairman of the organization, Ambassador Danny Ayalon.
“It is with great pride that I receive this award on behalf of Nefesh B’Nefesh, and we are honored to be recognized and appreciated by such a prestigious academic institution that has been at the forefront of research on immigration to Israel“, said Ambassador Ayalon. “Having brought close to 15,000 immigrants to Israel in the past six years, this award gives us added encouragement to continue our work in bringing thousands more Olim to Israel.”
In her address, Chairman of the Ruppin Academic Center, Professor Shosh Arad referred to Nefesh B’Nefesh as a pioneering organization who has been an innovator in the field of absorption. “The Ruppin Academic Center, which focuses on immigration and absorption into society, is proud and excited to be awarding this fellowship to Nefesh B’Nefesh, she said.”
Founded in 2002, Nefesh B’Nefesh is an organization dedicated to revitalizing Aliyah from North America, Canada and the UK by removing or minimizing the financial, professional, logistical and social obstacles of Aliyah.
