Olim arrive in Israel in time for Hannuka

76 Olim who landed in Ben Gurion International Airport Tuesday morning will spend the first night of Hanukka in their newly adopted land.
Andrew Marx, one of the Jewish immigrants on the flight organized by Nefesh B’Nefesh group aliya flight in conjunction with the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption, brought two heirloom menorahs on the flight with him which passed through his family for generations.
“Each one of these menorahs, in a way, represents the light they still shine on me from above,” said the 41-year-old from Little Rock, Arkansas.“The arrival of new Olim is always a wonderful thing, especially during holiday season in general and during Hanukka in particular,” said Minister of Immigrant Absorption, MK Sofa Landver. |
