First Summer 2010 Aliyah Flight Carrying 232 New Olim to Depart JFK

NEW YORK:  An ElAl 747 with 232 North American Olim, including 96 children and 27 young men and women who are volunteering to serve in the IDF, will depart from JFK for Israel on July 6th, 2010.  This is the first of three Nefesh b’Nefesh Aliyah flights scheduled for this summer.

Among the dignitaries expected at the ceremonies:

• Director of the Department for Policy Implementation of Israel’s Prime Minister’s Office,  Michal Frank
• Chief Executive Officer of the JNF, Russell Robinson
• Shlichat Aliyah for the Jewish Agency for Israel, Naomi Freedman
• Co-Founders of Nefesh B’Nefesh, Rabbi Yehoshua Fass & Tony Gelbart

This summer 2,500 Olim will be arriving on Aliyah flights from North America, as part of the collaborative venture of Nefesh B’Nefesh and the Jewish Agency for Israel.  The next two Aliyah flights will be August 2nd and August 18th, 2010.
