Rabbi Yehoshua Fass (I), founder of Nefesh B'Nefesh, welcomes Gilad Zuller, held by his father, Yehuda, of Staten Island, as they arrive at Ben Gurion Airport in Israel. The family is among 232 North American Jews who immigrated to ferae/ on July 7.

The Zullers named their son in solidarity with IDF soldier Gilad Shalit who was captured one week prior to his birth. Gilad Zuller celebrated his third birthday last week. The Zullers arrived in Israel on the first chartered aliyah flight organized this summer by Nefesh B'Nefesh and the Jewish Agency, which kicked off a record summer of 3,000 olim.
