At 7:30 am Tuesday Israel time (12:30 am US eastern time), you can watch a live webcast of the arrival ceremony for a planeload of olim at Ben Gurion Airport being sponsored by Nefesh b'Nefesh. The webcast will appear in this post.
The featured speaker at the event will be Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

For those watching (especially from abroad), I will tell you that I made aliya 18 years ago and it was NOTHING like this.
We arrived at the airport on a regular flight and spent three hours filling out forms at the airport before we could leave.
UPDATE 8:15 AM
And NO ONE could meet us at the airport until we filled out the forms and cleared customs, and since NO ONE knew how long that would take NO ONE met us. The niece who flew with us on the plane (we brought her in as a mother's helper that summer because Mrs. Carl gave birth to number 4 that summer) took her bags, cleared customs and left. |
