We
meet Dov and Ayala Newmark and their three children as they leave their
home in Hendon, North London to begin their new lives in Jerusalem. Dov
and Ayala are 'making aliyah' - exercising their right as Jews to
migrate to their homeland.
Ayala already has family in Israel but Dov is leaving his parents behind - for him this will be the hardest part of the move.
Moving
to a new country has many complications. Adapting to a new culture,
learning a new language and leaving behind family can be difficult,
exciting and completely life-changing.
We follow the Newmarks as they leave London and overcome their challenges and find jobs, schools and a new home in Israel.
