Most are familiar with Nefesh B'Nefesh's trademark chartered Aliyah flights that bring thousands of Olim to Israel from North America and the UK throughout the summer (and winter). In Spring 2007, Nefesh B'Nefesh initiated additional "group flights", where blocks of seats are reserved for NBN Olim on regularly scheduled El AL flights. The monthly flights allowed more flexibility for Olim who wish to make Aliyah before the summer and still receive the benefits of expedited processing and the emotional experience of making Aliyah in the comfort of a group environment.

The group flights have been expanded for Spring 2008, with two flights arriving each month, one from the US and one from the UK.

The photos display you will see features images from the first Spring Aliyah group flight on March 12, 2008. The occasion was made all the more special by the enthusiastic cabin crew who paid extra special attention to their "precious cargo", by providing celebratory champagne, cakes, an impromptu birthday party, a personal visit from the pilot and an in-flight announcement congratulating the 42 Olim who are dedicating their lives to living in and building a stronger Israel.

The remaining group Aliyah flights this Spring will arrive in Israel on April 7 and May 27 from the US and the UK.
